Galt Football Club's Youth Program operates as a social enterprise, transforming the traditional model of youth soccer into a community-based vehicle that makes sport more accessible for families. It brings us together at our roots.
Re-born in 2019 as a passion project, Galt Football Club has established itself as a community football - read soccer - organization with an emphasis on grassroots youth soccer. Every action, every step forward will emphasize community, sustainability and the pure joy that can be found in sharing time together on and off the ball.
Taking on best practices from grassroots development in Europe, as well as embracing the need for accessibility, Galt FC is beginning a new chapter by addressing some of the key issues facing sport in our community.
High registration fees can often hamper accessibility to youth soccer, forcing families and individuals into hard choices: swimming lessons or soccer; camping or soccer; new clothes for school or soccer. On its own, a registration fee may not seem an obstacle, but over the course of a summer or year's worth of budget decisions, it can be a challenging expense to absorb. Ensuring kids sports are more affordable just makes sense.
